Norma Norman Wheeler
Norma Norman Wheeler, 87, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013. She was born April 12, 1926 in Dover, GA to the late Hobson and Lena Norman. She graduated from Savannah High School in 1945 and worked at Union Camp in the Credit Union for 15 years. She continued with credit union work at Memorial and at the City and County Credit Union. For many years she was an active member of Whitfield United Methodist Church and later at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church. She sang in the Chancel Choir and Sparkler Choir, and was president of Wylly-Dupon Sunday School Class. Mrs. Wheeler was also a member at large of the DAR-Lachlan, McIntosh Chapter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Emory Wheeler.
Mrs. Wheeler is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Bunnie and Joe Richey, and Martha and Rusty Waters, five grandchildren and their spouses, Libby and Joe Kisch, Britt and Dallas Richey, Jenny and Todd Mayo, Emily and Luke Currin, Russ Waters, and his fiance' Alex Kline, and eight great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by one brother, Larry Norman, of Needham, MA, one sister, Carroll Kline, of Buckhead, GA., brother-in-law, John Cook, of Savannah, and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
